Well, my previous attempts at blogging were all aborted prior to completion, so let’s see how this goes… Here’s a quick update on what’s going on at Withywindle these days:
We just got back from Readercon 19, and as usual had a blast. Disappointingly, several booksellers we’ve grown fond of were not present, and sales were a bit slower than anticipated, but not too bad overall. We were featuring books by Kay Kenyon (her newest, A World Too Near just came out recently in hardcover) and the debut novel Terminal Mind by David Walton (an excellent read says Obo).
While at Readercon, we joined up with the wonderful women at Broad Universe, and will be featuring books by members on our site (Kay Kenyon is one), along with links and Broad Universe updates (readings, appearances, etc.) here in the blog – stay tuned.
As we didn’t do much buying at Readercon 18, or this past Boskone, we made up for it at this year’s Readercon! Loads of new books are in stock and being listed at the website presently, so keep your eye on the front page for our newest arrivals.
