Withywindle Books has a blog, a Facebook page, a MySpace page, and is now on Twitter (@withywindlebook). After posting a January sale coupon on Facebook and Twitter, it occurred to me that our newsletter has – more or less – become obsolete. I use the blog to post about new arrivals and store news, and offer coupons to our Facebook and Twitter fans and followers, so what’s left for the newsletter? Not much, other than to spread the news that it will be ending this month.
I am encouraging our newsletter subscribers to follow our blog and Facebook/Twitter pages, and will send out one last edition next week. I’ll keep the mailing list going through the Yahoo Groups link on our homepage, but don’t foresee spending time producing an actual mailing very often. Time to move on.
