This idea has been rattling around in the back of my head for a while now, and the 2012 MEES (Massachusetts Environmental Education Society) Conference next March is giving me the perfect opportunity to put it together in a concrete form.
I’m presenting on how to work experiential education into environmental education programs. I’m thinking specifically of the concepts of framing and debriefing that we use as challenge/adventure facilitators, as well encompassing the play and challenge aspects of programming.
I’m only starting to frame this out, but I’m loving the idea. I can see integrating this into quite a bit of my usual environmental ed programming to keep things fresh and fun.
