That’s probably obvious to anyone who reads this blog, but I am actually looking for some specific help at the moment. My home page – it’s a bit blah. I love innovative and creative blogs and websites, and want to add some creativity to my home page while still getting my information across. Does anyone have ideas? Or good sites to reference? I’m usually pretty good with this sort of thing, but am drawing a blank for this page. I probably need to suck it up and pay the extra $$ so I can custom more parts of this site. I’m just not in the mood to spend any more money right now (I’ll explain where all our cash has gone lately in a future post).

I feel the same way about my home page. I’ve actually decided to hire a web developer to take my whole website to the next level. I think I’ve found someone I can actually barter with, which is cool. (They have a client in need of a few blog posts.) I’m good with design, to a point. There are some pretty cool premium WordPress sites that you can buy for $70-$80. I think I’m going with one of the Genesis themes (which the web developer recommends highly) – http://www.studiopress.com/themes.
Yeah, I think that’s eventually going to be my route – either going with a premium theme or doing the custom design option. I’ll keep playing around with it and see if inspiration hits. Can’t wait to see how your site comes out!
