Ugh! Another late Windows on Wildlife post – got a little behind with the start of school this week! I spent last night prepping for my oldest son’s first day and was teaching today. Better late than never, and I extended the deadline to the end of day tomorrow to add a bit more time for linking up.
If you have a recent post about wildlife you’d like to share – it can be anything: birds, insects, mammals – scroll down to the end of the post and add your site; a compilation of all additions will be posted the following week. Please don’t forget to link back here (I’d love it if you’d add the Windows on Wildlife button on the sidebar to your post) and visit other blogs that have articles to share. Thanks for stopping by!
I won’t share precisely how long ago this photo was taken, but suffice to say it was with a film camera. We found an eruptive flock of Pine Grosbeaks in central Vermont one winter (they usually winter further north) and had a grand old time watching them feed. They were remarkably bold around us and we spent quite a while just observing them at close range.

Last week, Michelle at Rambling Woods shared some amazing bird photos – my favorite was the Cooper’s Hawk looking over its shoulder. Just Photos By Me’s Jenny captured Macaws in flight, and Gary and Boomer at Vermilon River had some more beautiful bird pictures, including several of a leucistic Purple Finch. Fergiemoto shared a beautiful moment of wildlife discovering her and her camera – what a nice change!
Join us this week through the link-in below with your own Window on Wildlife!
Ah back to school time is always busy..Love the photo and I did add you badge to my sidebar…Michelle
You’re fabulous! It’s funny that you said that about the badge – I was re-reading my post and realized that it needs to be re-phrased. I’m worried that it sounds like I’m asking for the banner to be put on some else’s sidebar, but was really just directing toward my own for locating the image! I’m not sure if that comes across or not…
