Let’s see, where am I at… surgery was last week, went well and I meet with my team of doctors in mid-June to go over the rest of my treatment, which should be about 5 weeks of daily radiation, mostly likely followed by hormone therapy, all designed to keep the cancer from recurring.
I wrote a post on Off the Path, focusing on my spiritual practice during this rather challenging period, if you’d like to know a bit more of what I’ve been up to.
I started withdrawing from my online life and writing about two weeks before my surgery as I was battling with anxiety over the whole cancer treatment process. I’m glad to be one large step through it, but it feels far from finished.
I’ll be doing some teaching work in June at the Outdoor Center where I used to work, which I’m really looking forward to. There’s nothing like having outside expectations on you to help pull things together.
I have a spring post that I’ve been slowing working on – I hope to have it published in the next week or so.
I hope all my blogging friends are doing well – I hope to venture further the next time I’m online and visit some of your blogs, but I have no idea when I’ll have the emotional energy for that. In the meantime, get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather!
I am glad to here you are past one part and on to the next…. I hope you recover well and share your joy of nature…
Thanks Michelle – same for you!
So glad to hear from you and know how you are doing…take your time as we all take our own time and way to heal…we are all here for you!
Thanks Donna – it’s so helpful to have everyone’s support. 🙂
Glad to hear the first step went well. I imagine it’s a roller coaster ride for you right now. I hope you are able to get out and enjoy the spring air as well! (Hopefully it’ll stop raining soon!)
Thanks, Jennifer – here’s hoping!
